The West Virginia Recyclers Association, Inc. (WVRA), was formed in 2010 to help promote recycling in the Mountain State, and to improve communication between recyclers, government, media and industry. New members are welcome.

The scrap recycling industry is working to be part of the solution to material theft.

New Regulations for Scrap Dealers

The 2012 session of the WV Legislature saw several bills approved which affect the West Virginia scrap industry. The WVRA urges all scrap dealers to become familiar with these new regulations.

• SB 212 - This bill details the criminal offense of disrupting emergency services and is effective June 14, 2012. Read complete SB 212 text here.
